Becky Whitt, an avid knitter, had a vision of an affordable and fun knitting retreat while cruising the Blue Ridge Parkway with her husband Mike back in 2003. Her first retreat a year later, in collaboration with the Spartanburg (SC) Knitting Guild, was a small informal occasion with only 18 knitters participating. But every year afterwards, more and more knitting enthusiasts trekked to the peaceful North Carolina mountains to attend Becky's retreats.
Both men and women, young and young at heart, with varying degrees of skill, travel from all over the US and Canada to participate and fellowship with other knitters. But Becky's original goal remains the same: retreats that are affordable and fun for everyone.
